She's here...

After 22 hours of labor, Jayla Elisabeth Leggett arrived at 1237 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2006. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 11 ozs. and was 20 in. long. She is a very quiet and peaceful baby thus far. Brother and sister are excited to have her here. We are just happy she was healthy and early! (especially me!)

Not yet...

Time is ticking fast. I am anxiously waiting for Jayla to make her arrival. Mom came down last Thursday because I spent 8 hours contracting every 2-3 minutes. Then, they all of a sudden spaced out. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

Jeff is scheduled to leave for Abilene on Thursday for his cousins wedding. So needless to say, I am hoping that Jayla does not try to arrive while he is 4.5 hours away. At least it is a straight shot from Abilene to Uvalde.

I am enjoying my job and the people that I am working with. I don't even mind the drive at this point. So for now, all is well. Just trying to stay comfortable as possible.
