Saturday Morning

Jeff's turn at this. How do I start? I am teaching kids how to write, so I should know how. Here goes.
I'm sitting here on saturday morning playing with my kids. No, back up. I woke up this morning with Jillian wanting to play with me. There's nothing like waking up to drool and stinky diapers. Every parent intimately knows both. Even nowI'm typing one-handed (and actually doing quite well) while holding my sweet Jillian. Earlier she decided I needed to wake up at 6 on a Saturday so she could crawl around and walk around on me. The crawling and walking is ok, but jumping and stomping is a little much. Kisses are always nice from your kids. I just wish they were born knowing how to wipe their noses. Baby boogs are not nearly as nice as the kiss that delivers them!

So now, we're watching our second movie of the morning. It actually rained last night, so it's too wet to play outside. Nothing starts a day out right better than "The Incredibles" followed by "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". At least they are occupied long enough for me to get some things done around the house, like laundry. I don't remember us wearing that many clothes since the last time we did laundry! Since it's laundry day, it's also naked time for the kids. That's them watching a movie in their skivvies. They're just so darn cute.

I'm not sure I get all this blog craze, but it sure is popular. It seems that the idea of a private diary has been changed into our own little slice of reality popularity. Somebody explain to me why this is such a great thing. I understand how it is important for some to keep those truly interested abreast of the latest goings on, like with Ira; that one I get. I think maybe grandparents might want to know what's going with us, but why not just pick up the phone and call each other and tell stories of goings on with your own voice? I love technology, but sometimes it seems like we get ahead of ourselves. Is it just me that thinks this way, or are there more people interested in our lives than I realize?

Back to my laundry. Too bad I haven't won the lottery so I can afford to pay somebody to do it for me. That would be great. Then I could spend all day in bed playing with my two beautiful children, laughing and having a great time. Until next time...

Keeping With the Times...

New year, new job, new age decade, new house, another baby coming! Change. Change is inevitable. But, sometimes I wish that all I could do was snap my fingers and stop everything for a while to enjoy the current situation. Sometimes if just for a minute to watch and adore my babies while they sleep a little longer or discover something new...

I have to admit, I am obsessed with these blogs and reading about other people's lives, so I guess that I will join them. Plus this will be a way for the grandparents to hear (read) about new things the kids are doing since they are all hours away now.
